About Us & The Experience We Have to Offer

Go Trek Peru has been created to provide once-in-a-lifetime expereriences (experiences you will never forget in your life.) Our Founder, Renato Romero, a native of Arequipa living in California since 2003, has been designing, organizing, and guiding treks and conventional tours (Our Classics) in Southern Peru since 2007. All his knowledge about Peru and experience in the tourism industry has been used to create unique itineraries and meet the needs of native English speaking travelers. Also, his more than 10 years of experience as a College level teacher at College of the Canyons in Southern California are applied to make your Peruvian dream become true.

Renato's main goal is to provide a unique experience by working first hand with his staff of cooks and guides. Our itineraries allow travelers to avoid the crowds, enjoy delicious meals, and learn the Peruvian culture, history, language, and way of living.

Our cooks and porters are members of local Andean communities such as the Quispe brothers who belong to the Paru Paru community where the National Potato Park is located. They understand how important your trip to Peru is, the expectations you have, and the sacrificies you have made to come here; therefore, we work hard to provide a hassle-free experience and a trip to remember. Take part of one of our excursions and enjoy the Andean outdoors and way of living while we worry about the little details. In the picture below, you can meet the Quispe brothers (Gumersindo and Rolando to the right), Gumersindo's brother in law to the left (Javier), and one of our guides Roni. Follow the link to wacth a video of Gumersindo's cooking skills.
