This eight day tour is perfect for hard-working travelers who can only spare one week of vacation at a time. This tour will allow travelers to get in touch with the Peruvian customs of the past and the present, as well as to learn the wonders of the Incas.
This tour is directed by Renato Romero, CEO & Founder of My Peru Guide LLC, who has been designing and operating tours since 2007. Renato is a Peruvian born in the city of Arequipa who lives in Santa Clarita, California, and teaches Spanish at College of the Canyons.

Upon arrival, one of our representatives or I will welcome you at the airport and then you will be driven to your hotel in Miraflores. At 2:30pm, we will take you to downtown Lima where you will visit the Catacombs, "El Parque de la Muralla" and "La Plaza San Martin".
At 6:30pm, our transportation will take us to a popular restaurant where dinner will be served. This will be our welcome dinner where a buffet style meal will be provided, and a traditional dance show will be available. You will be back at your hotel at 10:30pm.
Note: International airfare is not included in this tour; therefore, you should book a flight that is going to arrive in Lima before 10:00am so you have enough time to get ready for your tour. You may want to get to Lima one day in advance (if that is the case, we can help you book accommodation for that night).
At 9:00am, our transportantion will take us to Lurin where the archaeologocal site of Pachacamac will be visited. This was the most important site in the region of Lima during the Inca Empire. After this visit, you will be taken to a "Casa Hacienda" where you will enjoy a Peruvian Paso Horse show, and lunch will be served.
At 3:30pm, you will be back at your hotel. You will have the reminder of the afterrnoon to relax or wander around Miraflores. I will prepare a walking sightseeing activity for the ones who want to join him, or he will provide suggestions for the ones who would like to doscover Miraflores on their own.
At 8:30am, our transportation will take us to the Larco Museum where you will learn about the most importants civilizations that raised in Peru during the last 5000 years. The museum offers an impressive collection of artifacts and remains of the Andean world. We will be back at our hotel by 11:00am. You will have 2 hours to enjoy lunch at the restaurant of your preference.
At 1:00pm, our transportation will take us to the airport of Lima where you will take a late afternoon flight to Cusco. Once in Cusco, you will be taken to your hotel in Cusco where you will be able to relax and adjust to the high altitude of the city.
At 8:30am, we will start the Cusco city sightseeing tour by foot. We will visit the Cathedral of Cusco, the Jesuits Church, the Qoricancha Temple, and the traditional San Pedro marketplace. Once we have completed this tour, we will enjoy a welcome lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will have time to relax before embarking on our next adventure.
At 3:00pm, we will embark on the Four Inca sites sightseeing tour. This tour will take you to Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. You will enjoy the sunset at the archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman. You will be back at your hotel at 6:30pm and you will have the reminder of the day to relax or wander around the city. I will provide options and suggestions for the evening.
Today, we will leave Cusco for a 2 day adventure to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu. Our first stop will take us to a wildlife sanctuary where local species of fauna have been rescued from misstreatment or life treating injuries while being free. After this, we will visit the local community of Paru Paru where the National Park of the Potatoes is located. Here we will have time to do some hiking around the lake, learn about the Andean textile process, and enjoy a "Pachamanca" (a traditional Andean meal cooked undergrood.)
After lunch, we will visit the Inca site of Pisaq where you will observe beautiful terraces, several edifications, and a great view of the Urubamba Valley. Before sunset, we will continue with our journey towards Ollantaytambo where we will take the train to Machu Picchu town (aka Aguas Calientes). You will spend the night in this town and pizza will be served at your hotel.
Today, we will eat an early breakfast to take the bus to Machu Picchu no later than 7:00am. We will hike to the Gate of the Sun and then we will tour the city for a total of 4 hours. If you are not interested on this hike, you will be guided by a local guide until we meet again (2 hours later).
At midday, we will back in Aguas Calientes to enjoy a buffet style meal at a local restaurant. Our train to Ollantaytambo will depart in the afternoon, and there will be time to wander around town or get a massage. Once in Ollantaytambo, you will have free time to have a cup of coffee at the plaza with a great view of its impressive Inca site.
After breakfast, we will visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, and we start our excusion back to Cusco. On our way to Cusco, we will stop at the marketplace of Chincheros where locals sell their textiles and crafts. After this visit, our transportation will take us back to Cusco. I will provide you a list of activities for the remainder of the day.
At 7:00pm, we will re-group at a local restaurant to enjoy our farewell dinner.
Today, I will take you to the airport of Cusco where you will take your flight back to Lima.This marks the end of our experience in Peru.
