This extension to the Vinicunca Trek allows travelers to learn the customs of the locals by spending 2 nights at their homes. The people of Quehue rebuild the Andean bridge of Q’eswachaca every year in June and maintain the bridge all year long. This experience has been designed for travelers who are willing to learn the way of living of the Andean people.

Today, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at 9:00am and you will be driven to the Andean community of Quehue where you will spend the following next 2 nights of this tour extension with a local family at a room prepared to host travelers. Once at Quehue, you will meet your host family and then you will eat lunch with them.
After lunch, you will take part of their daily activities at their farms. After taking part of their daily actibvities, you will get back to your room and enjoy dinner.
After an early breakfast, you will join your hosts to take part of the morning activities at their farm. Around 10:00am, you will meet the Andean priest of the community (shaman) who will conduct a traditional offering to the Pachamama (mother earth). At the end of the ceremony, you will enjoy a traditional Pachamanca which is a meal cooked in the ground using local ingredients.
In the afternoon, you will get back to your room to rest and recover from a long day. Dinner will be enjoyed with your host family.
Today, you will say goodbye to your host family during your breakfast. After breakfast, you will be picked up to continue your Vinicunca Trek and Machu Picchu adventure. This adventure will start with a bike ride to the Q’eswachaca Andean bridge
